As you guys know, I'm not an insider by any stretch. LITERALLY have no more knowledge about the day to day operations than any of you, in fact, less so I'd venture to say. I am not claiming to be inside.
I have quite a few guys I know really well that play for the Buffs currently and formerly. The guys I know on this years team are through some really good friends that played for CU on past teams....we've hung out and I like them as people alot. Im not going to say who, but, i've copied a portion of an email I got today from a player that I think most of you would respect that plays (starts) on our 09 squad. I didnt want to call after Toledo out of respect, but, shot him an e-mail to try and validate some things I've heard from other players.

"no not at all..we're getting better every day we just got to focus on the little details and everything will fall in place. We have taken huge steps this week like no bull****-night and day from where we were. 1 practice and its may have turned around the season. Doin work, son. lol. We'll be alot better this week. All pissed that we aree 0-2. We are still gonna win a bunch of games this year. Coach knows what their doing and we finally do too now."

Huge e-mail, but, thats the edited part that wont give away personal details of who it is or anything. Im done defending Hawk, but, that goes to all the "players have given up" rumors. And maybe provides somebody with a little hope for Wyoming. Maybe not, just thought it was interesting.

No offense, but that sounds exactly like what Hawkins has been saying. Does it sound like the way your friend usually talks? :huh:
 
Ummmm....I dont know if its how he usually talks or not. He's absolutely one of those kids I wish I could have been when I played, one track, dedicated mind to winning and working out and doing whatever it takes. So, in that sense, yes. He, is however, a friend of mine and therefore a pervert and crazy ass....so, the e-mail came across as a little serious. I take it as he's "bought in" so to speak. Hawk doesnt tell them what to e-mail their friends if thats the implications. He'd tell Hawkins to **** off.

:lol::lol::lol: no, I dont know Cody--but, I'd probably have taken his comments with a grain of salt and not posted them on here. Plus, if he were a friend of mine, dont think our season would have been the topic of my email after Toledo....

From what the announcers said...and only based on that...maybe this player is Espinoza...I know he's a local boy and those announcers said he's as hardworking, loyal and dedicated as anyone on the team. So other than Cody or Scotty, I'd say maybe it's Espinoza.
