I am just listing all the names I have heard in no particular order.
John Embree - yes
Eric Bieniemy - yes
Dave Logan - not as HC
Brian Cabral - got to give him an interview
Charlie Strong - yes
Karl Dorrell - nope
Chuck Heater - worthy interview
Mike Shanahan - not happening imo
Kyle Shanahan - not without his dad
Brent Venables - not impressed
Mike Stoops - isn't he Arizona's DC? No thanks
Brian Kelly - yes please, not going to come here, but I wish
Bobby Hauck - not the FCS coach I'd want
Turner Gill - worthy of an interview
Tommy Tuberville - Can't see him fitting in here, but it'd be nice if he did
Who am I missing?
Added:
Troy Calhoun - interesting, I don't think he'd leave AF
Sonny Dykes - probably worthy of an interview, not a fan of the Tech offense, but it's better than the Hawk offense.
Bob Simmons - probably too old, I'd like to see him on the next staff, though.
Kevin Sumlin - I liked him when he beat OSU, but his past indicates a no. Came here as WR coach and left 2 weeks later, no thanks.
Skip Holtz - he looked great last season before ECU stumbled. Not sure
Al Golden - I like him, but after a discussion with BuffinDC, I prefer the guy that came after him, Mike London.
Andy Ludwig - no thanks, the Cal offense disappears in it's biggest games.
Eric Mangini - please dear god no.
Butch Jones - an interesting candidate, but lacks BCS experience and who knows how good he'll do without Lefevour at QB.
Major Applewhite - not sure he'd leave Texas, although he can't assume he'd be HC there for a very long time with Muschamp coming in.
Gary Patterson - same boat as Kelly, love him, not going to happen.
David Gibbs - has been in the NFL for awhile, his recruiting concerns me, I do like his experience, though.
