First off, it was great to meet Golden and BCS. I was beyond thrilled with the turnout for the event. I was guessing there would be around 1K there before hand and I think we easily doubled that. Nik & Golden covered most of the stuff already, so I'll just add the little bits. The facility is top notch. Everything looks nice there. We definitely got our money's worth on this one. The shirts were a great giveaway too. I can understand why some have concerns about Bohn, but it's events like this that make me think we have a great AD as it was done top notch the entire way.
The biggest thing that I took away from this was something that both guys mentioned already -- these guys like each other. The men's basketball team was shooting hoops and goofing off and just having a good time. Every time you saw members of the women's team they seemed like they were having fun. I really think that will help.
Tunks looks bigger. He looks more mature. Golden summed it up best as we saw him saying "well, I think I need to add 1-2 wins to my season prediction now". Roberson looks not only taller, but a little thicker as well. I know I'm the board's resident Dufault defender, but he looked to be in great shape too. The biggest surprise for me though? Askia Booker. Like Nik said, he looked bigger than I was expecting. Plus, he looked pretty good shooting out there. I realize it was just casual throwing shots up with friends, but he was hitting them. I honestly thought we'd be looking at a redshirt year with him because of all of the PG depth we have, but I'm starting to think he's going to get some PT at Nate & Shannon's expense. And if that happens...
