Who will be the first 11 to take the field in the opening game?

QB:
RB:
WR:
WR:
WR/TE:
TE:
OT:
OT:
OG:
OG:
C:

QB: Montez
RB: Fontenot
WR: Viska
WR: KD
WR/TE: Stanley
TE: Harris
OT: Hambright
OT: Sherman
OG: Roddick
OG: Lynott
C: Pursell

Fillip is your backup tackle
Lynott is your backup center
Kutsch is your backup guard.
Brown, Bell and Arias come off the bench at WR (man that seems like an awesome second group)
Mangham almost splits time with Fontenot for a little lightning and thunder action
I also think we will see a decent amount of Bisharat as the Full/H-back as a decent receiving option on play action.

Brown will be your fourth WR and will get a lot of run. I think this could be a huge year for Stanley. There is going to be so much emphasis on where Viska is lined up, I think the middle of the field could be left wide open for Stanley to do damage along with the TE's.
I had a hard time with the oline. I really want to believe Fillip is ready at OT, but not sure he will be. I went with him anyways. Kutsch, Roddick, and Pursell will battle for the other OG spot.
Mangham will be starting at some point in the season.
This could be a potent offense this year and will go as Montez goes. Oline and TE are a step above from last year and think the other positions are about equal. Could be a fun year on this side.

Are you thinking of the other guy? Nikko is a high school recruit that needs some time.
Wow was that a fast reply. I copied/pasted from the commit list to get the spelling right and then changed it within less than a minute. :ROFLMAO:

You don't think? I believe that since he wasn't a December graduate it severely hurt his recruiting. And Fresno State wanted him badly. I hav a lot of trust for Tedford and the success he's had with JUCO linemen.

Fresno isn't Power 5. And being a December JUCO grad actually makes recruits more attractive. It means you can have the dude for a full Spring.

He will provide some depth and help take up a spot, but I don't believe he will be a viable starter.

Purcell at C? Ain’t gonna happen.

He was here in the spring by the way and we didn't hear much of anything about him. Always a tough transition but that was a bad sign.

Surely you didn’t believe all that BS last year about the OL, especially Pursell. Loot at his grades. Oooooph
I tried to find a situation where it wouldn't be the case. There are only 2.
1. Fillip starts at tackle which I think he is still a year away.
2. Ray really comes on strong after a full spring and summer in the weight room and pushes Lynott to center and Pursell to backup.

If either of those don't happen then you are talking about either someone random stepping up at center or Lynott at center with Sauvao, Kutsch, Paige, Shatuck or Johnson as a true freshman playing guard. As of right now I don't see that happening.

Or Pursell at G.

OL is tough with apparently only three good-to-go P5 guys in the group. TE could see a bunch of 2-TE formations if someone can step up as a legit receiver with Harris being primarily an inline blocker.

Fresno might not be power 5, but they'd have nuked you had you played them. Watch who you smack talk coming off the season you had last year.

I just don't know if we have that as it sits right now. I don't think we can depend on Pop until we see him contribute with his injury history. That is why I think you will see BB used in that FB/H-Back role that we saw him in a little bit last year.

That's right. He was supposed to be in the 2018 class and ended up needing a redshirt year to get his academics in order so he could transfer to a 4-year college. I remembered it wrong. I'd started following him back in that recruiting cycle and a bunch of programs backed off due to the academic concerns. I've still got high hopes that CU's patience (and desperation) will pay off with a mauler for the inside of our OL this year now that he's had a chance to get his sea legs and work his way into things.

QB: Montez

WR: Viska
WR: Nixon
WR/TE: Stanley
TE: Harris

OT: Sherman
OG: Austin Johnson
OG: Pursell
C: Lynott

QB, WRs, and TE are set. Fontenot will start, but Mangham and Smith will get a lot of touches. Hambright, Lynott, and Sherman will start. Like to see Fillip and Ray step up, but Roddick, Sauvao, or Purcell may start.

He also looked pretty rough at the spring game. Think he had at least a couple holding calls go against him.

OG: Austin Johnson
