NCAA Football: Florida International at Arkansas

The Buffs landed another notable transfer on Thursday, as former Arkansas running back Isaiah Augustave announced a verbal commitment to Colorado.

Augustave, who still has three years of eligibility left, is originally from Naples, Florida. He was a four-star recruit out of high school, and was the 6th-best running back recruits of the 2023 class, according to his bio on Arkansas’ website. In his last two years in high school, Augustave rushed for over 2,000 yards and almost 30 touchdowns (27).

Then, in his one year with the Razorbacks, Augustave wasn’t much of a factor. In 11 games last season, he rushed for 202 yards and scored one touchdown, while only starting one game. He finished the season 5th on the team in total rushes and yards.

Augustave will join of a Buffs’ running back room that’s undergone just about as much change as any group besides the offensive lineman. Next fall, CU will have Augustave, two true freshmen in Micah Welch and Brandon Hood, and Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden.
