Buffs start with a bang.
The Colorado Buffaloes are off to an electric start in their Big Noon Saturday matchup against the rival Utah Utes. The Buffs’ first drive was an interception, but they quickly shook that off and hit Utah with back-to-back explosive plays.
The first was a 40-yard touchdown pass to Will Sheppard on 4th-and-5. Shedeur Sanders noticed the Utes jump offsides, then took the free play and launched a deep pass to the Vanderbilt transfer. It was an easy catch for Sheppard, who too small’d Elijah Davis after the score.

Colorado’s next possession didn’t have to happen at all, as LaJohntay Wester took matters into his own hands and returned a punt 77 yards to the house. This looked even easier for Wester, as the All-American returner wasn’t even touched on the play.
