Desmond is still pissed about losing to the Buffs.
1. The Falcon demonstration at the AFA is much more spectacular than the war eagle deal, especially in that setting with the cadets and the mountains as one backdrop and the plains as the other.
2. The tiger doesn't do much, just hangs out in the cage. Impressive animal but doesn't do much to crank up the crowd or add to the atmosphere.
3. Bevo again is an impressive animal, he is also a steer, a domesticated animal that generally serves as food. They don't run him and again he just kind of hangs around.
4. UGA, Ugly yes but he is a dog, just like hundreds of million other dogs in the US. He is not impressive, not exactly inspirational.
5. The Schooner (yes they did have prairie schooners so it is appropriate) does get the crowd going but it is a miniature wagon with some horses, not exactly unique or special.
Ralphie is unique, she is a large wild animal who goes where she wants to at a high rate of speed. She brings an emotional charge into the stadium when she runs. She represents a lot of the characteristics that we would like to associate with the state and the university. Most of all when the Buffalo runs all eyes and attention are on her. It is unlike anything else in sports.
Here is Kordell's interview....I haven't seen any of the other state's shows, but I have to say that this one kind of sucked. Too much time spent on stuff that didn't involve the state of Colorado. And Desmond's Mascot list is wholey indefensible. At.least they had a live interview with Kordell.
You can say ****. We get it.Thought it was really lame. Desmond was an ass. Couldn't say a good thing about CU. F^€< him!

I looked up Nebraska's on espn. Which airs July 14. They had Irving Fryar listed as NU's all time greatest DEFENSIVE player. That must be one hell of a compliment, considering he was an all-american wide out.
