Rick George named new Colorado AD

Well, unless he mentions facilities, I think we will have to bitch about that a lot.
 
700k base salary, maxes out at 1.3m with incentives. Bohn wasn't even paid half that.

Continuing the long CU tradition of paying the next guy more than double what the canned guy got. At least this now brings all of the big 3 jobs in the AD on par with the rest of big boy college athletics. I guess we know where that 10% went that Ceal just had everybody pony up.
 
I hope he's a better AD than he was an NFL QB. He had great potential but never lived up to it. :nod:

As someone who lives on the fringe of those mountains behind Boulder ..... I had to fix that for you.

Alright, so all of our top Athletic folks are getting solid compensation. Now it is time for Ricky George to arrive with a splash and announce some facility upgrade plans.
 
According to a certain Denver TV sports station, Rick George was the 1st. and only candidate that the crack hiring committee interviewed and then hired? WTF!
 
Love this hire. Exactly what we needed and glad to see CU stepping up with compensation.

He was probably way better than anyone else who returned big Phil's calls. Not exactly a desirable job.
