Seems like we have a decent number of AllBuffs attending.

Anybody that is familiar with the area have suggestions for things to do outside of Buffs Bash?

I've only driven through KC and am staying in the downtown area.

Buff Bash info:
Buffs Bash at Kansas
12 p.m. CST
Kickoff: 2:30 p.m. CST

Kauffman Stadium
1 Royal Way
Kansas City, MO 64129

Another option for tailgating -

Power & Light District - right next to the Sprint Center. Bars/restaurants that open into a common area, where they have all the watch parties for their local teams. It's a fun place (like our McGregor Square on steroids)
Country Club Plaza - their Cherry Creek area, shopping, bars, restaurants (IMO, this is where the best Jack Stack is)

If you have extra time - World War I Museum & the ***** Leagues Baseball Museum are can't misses.

We are heading out for Thanksgiving, otherwise, I would be there this weekend too.

WWI Museum is awesome, must see. I would also suggest if there are kids to go to Union Station where they have science city, planetarium, and model train gallery. The plaza is overrated.

For the best BBQ, go to Arthur Bryant's, although Jacks is pretty good.

I'm not a huge Arthur Bryant's fan, but I think what downgraded it in my perception is that their sauce is not very good when you buy the KC BBQ sauce assortment and it's put up against Jack's, Heyward's, Gates and others. But iirc the sauce when you go to the restaurant is made fresh with the drippings and is on a whole other level.

If you are going to the "Buffs Bash" tailgate the Alumni Association is putting on in KC, please pre-register. I just spoke to my insider with the group and was told it makes things go much more smoothly. The people who who volunteered to travel & do the event can do a much better job for you.

Could you ask your insider to put dino shaped chicken nuggets on the menu por favor?
