Roper is our interim HC

With all the "focus" on the 12th opportunity - I hope he helps Chev out with some play calling. Atleast give some advice 2 minds have to be better than 1 ? I say that because I really dont think adams has any input.

Roper is really good at saying nothing just like hcmm. No edge to him so far.
I dunno. He seemed pretty clear to me that they weren't going to rock the boat too much. That likely translates to a loss, but he didn't dodge any questions in what is a disrupted environment. I'm certainly not advocating that he's a candidate going forward, but I liked how he presented his answers to the questions. I'm not sure what else you could expect in this environment.

I'm not expecting anything, just commenting. He is very vanilla.

Maybe Don Brown could bring along McCaffrey's kid? I should think he's getting tired of being a second or third string backup.

QB is not our problem, we have some really good ones in the room right now. If Don Brown can bring the Michigan OL, then he can be considered. I like our QB's and am really happy with who we have and what we could do if any of them had time. Look at our skill players.

Honest question: How good would Montez be if the OL played like the Washington State line and gave him the same time that Mustache dude has?

My answer: He would have 4,000 yards, 30 TD's, and would be at risk of going to the NFL. Every week his skills have been breaking down as he has to bug out every 2.5 seconds.

I still have questions on his mental grasp of the game. Chiv's system doesn't really ask much of him (and is a huge waste of his arm talent)

Which PAC-12 DC is shaking in their boots facing the CU offense?
That’s what I thought. This has been an utter failure.

Watching guys like Gardner Minshew in college and Tom Brady in the NFL get the perfect Pocket to throw is where the difference in great QB play comes in. With our WR's and Montez arm talent, there would be some serious chunk plays. Now, Montez does not have anywhere near the pocket brilliance of an Aaron Rodgers, so I do wish he would have developed a smoother pocket presence. Something he needs to work on, and he seems to be in the perfect Laboratory for that considering the crap coming at him every second from linemen that literally completely whiff on guys.

Footwork in the pocket is a big thing that separates the elite QBs. Brady is able to make subtle moves and shuffle to a side or up, feeling the rush and avoiding it while staying on time with his progressions. Montez is a long way from being able to do that.

I'm more concerned with his ability to diagnose what the defense is doing and progress through reads. He just isn't asked to do any of that.

So we’re in agreement that Montez is not Brady?

If Montez just had an NFL OL in front of him with Andy Reid as his playcaller, throwing to Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, OBJ and Gronk, he would finally get to show everybody how elite of a QB he is!
