I bet he did, and you know what, I am fine with it.
Read this somewhere else.
Steve Sarkisian: "we caught some king salmon this year, and we're not going to worry about losing some little guppies."

Who cares.
It is time to find some Pac-12 rivalries. We may have just started one today.
Sark is a fiery type of coach. He is perfect for UW after they went 0-12. He is their answer to bring them back to dominance. And he is doing quite well in that department.
Embree is our answer. And he just scored some points.
I think as a "newbie" CU cannot just "choose" a rival...it has to build. It's up to CU to prove themselves...this is what Buff fans wanted and it could take some time before CU is taken seriously.

I will go out on a limb here and say that most people here don't give a **** about U-Dub
Then feel free to ignore how our new conference recruited.
The fact that this thread was even started tells me people do care about how our new conference foes are doing.
To each his own.
A wiser man than me once said its not about the guys you didn't get but the ones you do that you can't use. Coach Sark would be well advised to listen to this advice.
His quote was essentially "We hit some big salmon today... a couple of Alaskan Kings here.... I'm not gonna lose sleep over a couple guppies."
I love it! He's got moxy and he wears it on his sleeve.
Make no mistake, losing Jackson, Asiata and Nembot hurt. Picking up Asiata and Nembot is huge for CU, and both are great-gets.
But for UW, all of their must-haves signed a LOI today. Locking down the state and keeping the highest-rated recruits was much more important than recruiting guys who would be redshirting this Fall. Overall the recruiting class is solid and another step in the right direction for UW. (I'll have more later)
I think we'll see some fierce recruiting battles between UW and CU in the future....
Sounds a lot like Fuskerspeak, we got the ones we wanted and the other ones really didn't matter anyways even though we would be wetting ourselves if we got them they can't be any good (not good enough to play now, must be redshirts next year) because they went someplace else.
UW got some good kids, some who I would have liked to see in Black and Gold but for Sark or anyone else to say that the "guppies" got away is sour grapes much like we are used to hearing from our red neighbors. . .
You sure you're not a closet Nubs fan? Because you sure sound like one.
Hello...welcome to the new PAC...I've been a life long USC fan and a secondary CU fan because those twains never met before. Now I have to deal with it.
But, CU fans cannot expect to come in like guns blazing because Hawkins did a number on the program that needs to be rebuilt. Don't you think it's better to come in, quietly and modestly, and establish the program with new coaching staff, etc. and then see what happens? The PAC doesn't care about a MNC back in 1990. This is a new world!
so you're saying you want us to come in the back door...
:devil2:

We are talking about football right? Of course CU is going to come in all guns blazing. Its a cut throat business that takes no prisoners. What the hell do you expect us to ask the other coaches if its okay if we talk to some recruits. Being passive doesn't work in this business or most other competitive industries. We are who we are and are proud of it. Look forward to playing USC every year!!
