Sean Lewis - HC Kent State

I definitely like his offense more than his program.
Well, well, well.

Be warned. As soon as I get home there will be a total geek out thread on Lewis and this offense. It may take a few hours. But until it drops, just understand that it is easy for players (like Air Raid), exhausts defenses, and creates chunk plays by putting players in space with multiple options out of every formation. It can dominate both on the ground and through the air & will be a nightmare on conditioning trying to play us at altitude.

EDIT: To make it clear, I'm the one with the erection referenced in this .gif. I have no opinions about whatever is happening in Nik's trousers.

Geek like there is no tomorrow because tomorrow we will need someone to geek on Kirby Smart, the new DC.

Pretty amazing to go back and read that a fair number of us would have been ok with him as HC. What is our life right now guys? How did we get here?

That's Brennan Marion. No one at the D1 level has had the balls to let him implement it yet. Currently an assistant at Texas. Definitely one to watch and see what evolves with him studying under Mark Whipple at Pitt and now under Sark at UT. He's going to get his shot soon.
He's gonna get his first shot at a place similar to Kent State. Low level D1 that's a hard place to win. When he does win, watch out.

"It makes sense," said a MAC coach who has faced Lewis. "They'll be able to get players and play in a wide-open passing attack. They'll be explosive, athletic and attacking. I think anytime you're dealing with altitude, no matter what system you run, it's something you have to adapt to. I think it fits a little bit of the wide-open attacking Pac-12 type of offenses. They should be able to attract guys who want to play in that type of system offensively."

"They'll play with pace and tempo and try and spread the field all 53 and a third," said another MAC coach. "It's a dynamic system if they can get a quarterback recruited that can run it."

I'm very impressed with what he has done at Kent State. His offense is legit and would translate well at CU.

Have to wonder what kind of staff he can assemble and where his recruiting is at. Most of his experience is in the mid-west and east coast. Not sure if he is ready for a P5 jump but would like to see an interview here. Plus, his beard game is spot on!
Boom!
