Shedeur Sanders - 2023-25 Tracking History Thread - Drafted by the Cleveland Browns (NFL)

Yea I was kind of disappointed when they ran it there, even though they scored lol

Shedeur might be done for the night, Huntley was warming up on the sidelines
So dumb if they give reps to a guy they just signed due to injuries and won’t keep for the regular season. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Wouldn't be surprised if they promised him some time when they signed him. They aren't keeping him but having some film might show other teams that he can still take a snap, be available in an emergency situation.

Crazy thing is that Shedeur may have better timing with the guys playing now than he did with the guys who played earlier in the game. Much of training camp he has played with the 3's and 4's.

B to b- game for Shedeur but he didn't have much to work with. His OL was bad even if it was better than CUs. His CU receiving Corp was way better than the browns 2d string

Meh. It's his first game in the NFL. He's playing with a bunch of numbnuts. Made some good throws. Shows he definitely belongs. Yes, he missed a couple of throws, but I think that went as well as we could have realistically wished.

Slow start. Some smart, some Wild scrambles. Incredible throws in a messy pocket or on the run. Solid half despite an anemic run game.

Standard Shedeur. Loved the ball pat right before that sick first td.

5th round talent my ****ing ass. He's just playing ok by his standards.
Made some multiple reads that a lot of veteran backups in the league don't make. Showed that he has NFL ability to put the ball in tight windows and throws a very catchable ball. Controlled the huddle, game management was solid.

Had one bad throw that could have been picked but his WR helped him out.

Overall a very solid outing. Didn't give anyone a reason to put him down.

dude was rookie like early but he got the game face on and did his thing.

why would they start a 90 year old qb over this guy this season?

it is only pre-season but put starters around him and let him get the reps.

I love how much everyone hates us.

That's the best part. He has an ok game and it's ****ing nice. Cause he's real ****ing good

Great game by Shedeur
His interviews could still use some work

EDIT: His final interview was much better, especially when he just talks about ball

A silver lining about being drafted in the fifth round - you have a lot of people rooting for him who otherwise may not have been rooting this hard for him had he been a first round pick. Racists aside.
