Shedeur Sanders - 2023-25 Tracking History Thread

I'll give you that one (unless they're first rounders).

I'm probably just frustrated that our OLine isn't capable of protecting him even when he's in the shotgun, and can see the formations pre-snap and can see the field better as the play develops. There's no way we can run under center now which, I think, gives opposing teams a huge advantage in scheming defenses since they always know where we're starting from.

Also , starting 5 yards deep after the snap every ****ing time isn't exactly conducive to establishing a running game.
Not even then. The top five selected QBs in last year’s draft took <5% of their meaningful college snaps under center. It is dying.

When linebackers and DL’s are getting faster, edge rush specialists are are getting better at beating blocks, even if double teamed, and the run game is losing ground. Shotgun is going to be the only option, until an up and comer resurrects a scheme that is heavy under center based, and can fire off quick hitting, explosive plays that have the advantage of NOT starting yards behind the LoS.

a reporter asked SS to comment on the switch of play callers. I appreciate his answer:

"I mean at that point you just asked me just a setup question," Sanders replied. "You just want just a headline question. I'm not even gonna answer that."

I don't know. that really seems like a relevant question for a sports reporter to ask a starting QB

He was not asked to comment on the change. It was a very specific question that wanted SS to pit one against the other.

Per usual, cu3x comes in 3 days late with stuff that’s already been posted and provides no context.
Per usual, you can kiss my arse yakky!

I don't spend as much of my life here as you. I could care less if something is posted twice., that hurts no one.
you are as anal as the grammer police

Earlier in the season when SS was doing so well, I said that I felt that SS needed another year in college. I think he could use that but looking at his JSU stats and comparing them to his CU stats, it could be argued that he has done all he can do at the college football level. I would not blame him at all if he decided to go to the NFL instead of potentially having another year of playing behind a subpar OL.

Yup. He hasn't decided yet.

Coach Prime reiterated today on the Dan Patrick show that Shedeur and Shilo will both be back for one more season.
Not to get into a discussion about this, but it's still recruiting season and that isn't what Shedeur is saying privately and very recently. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. nm

TIL pahi has reliable insight into what Shedeur is saying privately.
Buy a Rivals subscription. Lots of interesting stuff in the very recent Jordan Seaton story. I don't check into my Rivals acct much because I'm not normally a recruiting buff.

Oh, so the right way for you convey that was by using a qualifying word.

"what Shedeur is reportedly saying in private"

Is a much different (and more honest) way to say it than

"Shedeur is saying in private."

Those two statements carry very different implications.

Geez. How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Why would the recruit just make something up out of thin air?

It's not what the recruit said or didn't say.

It's you pretending like the info is something you know because of some special connection.

Can you read? Me pretending? No, my super secret insider special connection was just my reading the entire Rivals story on Seaton's visit earlier today, and what Seaton talked about to the Rivals staff guy after the visit. That's where this information is and I just posted it in Barzil Recruiting if you're interested.

(In my post 257 in this thread I said it was in the Rivals story. I didn't want to post the Rivals story until it had been out for 24 hours.)

BTW, for $99.95/year anyone can be a super secret insider by buying a Rivals subscription. But there is an eye iris scan and a secret handshake.....

That's why they like Rodrick Ward so much. Shilo + Trevor is a disaster in coverage but Shilo + Rodrick is like a traditional SS + FS combination. They are complementary to each other.

Trevor has more of strong safety body type but he is too slow.
I have no idea where the "slow" narrative comes from.

Maybe y'all need to re check the numbers.

Amazing how clever and creative some of you are.
Surprising you announce to everyone that you went to law school, but post pretty stupid stuff
Or maybe - after viewing the responses of multiple posters - this is an opportunity for you to simply say, "oh...what I originally posted didn't come across as I intended."
