Math is hard.I’d be all in on a $120 a year subscription, $10 a week. It would be $120 more than they made last year.

$120/12 weeks of regular season = $10/week... It sure is hard...Math is hard.
One thing is a baseball tournament in the spring. Pac-12 is talking about launching that in 2019. That would give a nice little bump to spring content.Big Ten has hockey and men's lacrosse to sell on the BTN. Think about that.
What does the B1G have that the Pac-12 doesn't have?

ESPN broadcasts the NCAA tourney and some regular season games. It's not some huge paradigm shifter, but it is solid content for a time of year when there isn't a lot of great sports content. It's a positive, even if a small one. Nothing wrong with doing things that help in smaller ways.I don't see baseball moving the needle since that isn't a good television sport.
Not a surprise. Alabama has gotten picked up for night games by ESPN every week, it seems. After that, the conference doesn't have as many big draws this season and the matchups aren't as compelling.SEC ratings down 30% this year on CBS.

I understood it. Others did too, but chose to be dicks. It sure is, isn’t it?
I meant for football season only, didn’t really clarify that.
Look, this is AllBuffs. We have a reputation to uphold.chose to be dicks.

Seems like the AD's have been complaining a lot to the Presidents, which is a good thing. A move like this would go a long way towards a deal with DirecTV too.
Ever heard of basketball?$120/12 weeks of regular season = $10/week... It sure is hard...
I figured it was pretty clear what he meantEver heard of basketball?
85's clarification makes sense with just football season.
Technically, it'd be 13 weeks with the Bye week and pretty sure the P12N doesn't play football games during bowl season, nor do they have the CCG. The point was 12 weeks of Buff football at $120 for the season is worth it to buffsrock85 because that would mean $10/week to watch CU.

Along these same lines, with the B12 and ACC facing challenges getting their own networks off the ground, I felt it would be beneficial for the PacNet to rebrand itself and carry all three conferences. Run the ACC games in the morning, B12 games in the early afternoon, PAC games in the late afternoon, and run a postgame show that wraps up the entire day.Other sites that like to chit chat realignment have been increasingly chattering over the possibility of a joint TV rights contract with the PAC and B1G and possibly Big XII. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years. In theory, that a win all the way around (obvious on our end, but with the current success of the B1GN would also benefit the B1G if they think taking all those universities' rights to market at once increases the payout for everybody). And does so without having to bother with the mess of "real" realignment.
Do I think it'll happen? Nah. But would be interesting. I'm just glad some PAC officials are starting to complain. The conference can't sustain itself while pulling in $20 million per year less than SEC or B1G teams in TV rights, especially when the real discrepancy in our budgets is even much more due to differences in ticket sales and donations.

I'd pay like $12.99 for a P12N only stream. $1 to each school and .99 to the conference office (aka Larry Scott's swollen paycheck).
That's a helluva business model thats sure to drive revenue for the Pac 12. They should adopt that today!
ps. How much is slingTV orange plus sports for football season? $40 + $40 + $40 = ???
That could also work, though I'd think it's more likely that some combo of B1G, PAC and Big XII work together since they're the conferences not nearly as completely owned by ESPN.Along these same lines, with the B12 and ACC facing challenges getting their own networks off the ground, I felt it would be beneficial for the PacNet to rebrand itself and carry all three conferences. Or maybe he ment $10 a month and mistyped week (because he likes basketball too) and some people read a post too literally and try and defend a random point. ESPN won’t own them for long, they’re hemorrhaging money right now and the SEC I’m sure isn’t their biggest money maker right now.
Keep reading... And keep on going, you’re doing well, per usual when you come after me.Or maybe he ment $10 a month and mistyped week (because he likes basketball too) and some people read a post too literally and try and defend a random point. Just a guess though.
