Sounds Like Sefo Is Hurt ....but How Bad ?

Disagree all you want. If in pre-snap you see somebody uncovered or a clear mismatch you are going there with the ball whether that is the first read or the 5th. There are situations where you see something pre-snap and you throw it there even if you have a run play called.

Thats going to depend 100% on how much flexibility the QB is given to alter the play at the line of scrimmage.

Sefo is slow at reading plays and he locks onto his primary receiver pre-snap was too often, resulting in throwing a 4 yard pass instead of finding the wide open receiver somewhere else on the field.

To a degree this is true, but if you are not trusting a 3rd year starter with something this basic, that says something. Fairview High School expects this out of their kids.

The larger point remains. Unless everything in the play happens just as Sefo expects it to happen, his chances of being successful go way way down. Combine that with the fact that for at least the last 6 or 7 games he's thought things were happening that weren't and you end up with the situation we have.
