State of the Defense (BDC)

Lot less worried about the scheme than the personnel and the execution.

Just about every major defensive alignment has worked with the right players and coaches and also failed spectacularly with the wrong ones.

I don't think it would have mattered much what defense we ran under Greg Brown, Baer didn't inspire much confidence either.

If Leavitt can get guys making the right reads and hustling on every play we will be notably better than last year. He can decide which alignment works best to do that in.

so, now you refer to your left testicle as snuggie?

Yes, but that's unrelated to this point.

However, we did have a thread in which several posters claimed to have named their testicles after FlaBuff, if I remember correctly. Rep to anybody who can resurrect that.

Not everyone...

Didn't we already use that nickname for @FlaBuff?

Snuggie played O-line, for what it's worth.

Evan White could really thrive in a 4-2-5.

We're finally speaking the same language, Duff. Having TT as the FS, Bell as the WS and White as the "SS" in a 4-2-5 would be nice. Laguda could also the SS spot. Would give us the ability to get our best players on the field and replace a position of weakness.

Don't forget that Moeller is solidly built and likes to hit people as well. I think we are going to keep seeing more of him as time goes by, football player.
