statement game this season?

1) Will we have one (or more) statement games?
2) who will they be against?

I see us as having a few possibilities:
1) UCLA at home
2) ASU at home
3) USC on the road

the Utah game at home and the AZ on the road are tough to call statement games. I think those games are always winnable.

We have been so close against UCLA and USC in the past that I think we get one from them sooner rather than later. As far as ASU, they have a tendency of killing us, but on a good day at home we can beat anybody.

I think our best shot is UCLA a home. If we can get that one there's a good chance we get 6-7 wins this year and a bowl of some type.
 
After we win at Michigan in week 3, the most popular thread will be: "Screwed by the pollsters: Meatchicked ranked above CU!".
 
Speaking of the Michigan game, I think their fans are going be surprised at just how many CU fans are going to show up. If there was a road game to win this season, winning at the big house would be absolutely insane. Would make a very loud statement to the country about CU football.
 
Beating Michigan wouldn't be considered a statement. It would be considered a fluke. Beating Oregon, OTOH, would be a statement. Just like it was last year for WSU.
 
I'm going with Utah, because it will likely be the one that gets us over the hump and into a bowl.

Correct.

Also the biggest statement game will be when CU beats the P12N champion in December. Unless, of course that leads to 2 more even more statementy playoff victories.

How so? How do we even know how many of us are going to be there? Is there a question like, " Are you a CU fan?" when you buy your tickets?

It would get the wrong kind of attention, though. The attention would be on Michigan and why they lost the game as opposed to what CU would have done to win it.

CU sold out there entire allotment and I personally know plenty of groups going that have chosen to sit elsewhere because tickets were not available near the CU sections.
