StatSheet is projecting Colorado as a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament, but on the outside looking in. The Buffaloes are ranked #82 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 19-11 overall record and an 11-7 record in the Pac 12.
During the last four games, Colorado registered a quality win against RPI #37 California but also hit a setback with losses to RPI #52 Oregon and RPI #98 Stanford and a bad loss to RPI #153 Oregon State.
Colorado struggles against strong competition, with a 4-7 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 1-3 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-1 record against AP ranked teams. While the Buffaloes have a single quality win against RPI #37 California, they're also weighed down by three bad losses including RPI #153 Oregon State, RPI #103 UCLA, and RPI #109 Maryland.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Seton Hall (19-11, 8-10 Big East, StatRank #60), NC State (20-11, 9-7 ACC, StatRank #52), Oregon (22-8, 13-5 Pac 12, StatRank #53), and Texas (19-12, 9-9 Big 12, StatRank #55).
The first four teams out are Brigham Young (25-8, 12-4 West Coast, StatRank #48), Cincinnati (22-9, 12-6 Big East, StatRank #68), Mississippi State (21-10, 8-8 SEC, StatRank #76), and Tennessee (18-13, 10-6 SEC, StatRank #89).
The next four out are Colorado (19-11, 11-7 Pac 12, StatRank #80), Illinois (17-14, 6-12 Big Ten, StatRank #76), St. Joseph's (PA) (19-12, 9-7 A-10, StatRank #50), and Xavier (19-11, 10-6 A-10, StatRank #54).[TABLE="class: tablepad"]
