Summer Pre-Season Camp

Shiloh was unproductive at a SWAC school. I'm just saying I don't see anything to suggest he's one of our better safeties.
I think we've got at least 4 starter quality safeties and I'm hoping to see at least 1 separate into an all-conference type performer. One of the most intriguing fall camp & 2023 season position battles, imo.

Where's Wilkerson then. I left out Smoke when I was thinking of running backs.
I bet Wilkerson gets more PT than Hankerson as well. Dude runs incredibly hard and put up ridiculous workout numbers. I (and others I know who are more in the know) have heard zero re: Hankerson this offseason.

Which would be a tremendous statement on our depth since we know that Hankerson is a productive back who runs hard and moves the chains even with minimal blocking or a passing game that keeps defenses honest.

I agree, it feels a bit like Hankerson was recruited over. I would love to see him continue to gain weight, redshirt, and make an impact in the future.

McCaskill
Wilkerson
Smoke
Edwards

Do we? Smith, Fontenot and Offerdahl all averaged more YPC. Not trying to be adversarial, but personally I think there are now 4 RBs on the roster better than him. And that's a good thing.

In the first portion of the video there is a clothes rack with jerseys hanging from it. One of the Jersey shows #87 with Olsen on the back. Thought he wasn't part of the team.

Normally, I’d be asking who the front runner for the Conrad Obi most overhyped camp player of the year will be.

But I won’t do that this year. I’m reveling in the hype.

But there’s bound to be somebody who is way overhyped. Always is.

In the other Uncle Neeley video from today, he expressed gratitude that Shilo was here to push some buttons and said that was the one thing the team was missing in the spring. The whole video is essentially Shilo pushing buttons everywhere and letting players on both sides of the ball know he’s going to be talking every day. Neeley said they need to test some players and see if they’ll fold or step up. There’s been a general sentiment in a few videos with the same thought process.

I think that’s important as I have been mentally preparing for every single game to be a repeat of 2016 UCLA - where the opponent does a TON of trash talking and extracurricular BS and if we’re not careful, we will be the ones getting flagged for reacting to it. The DNVR guys said it was pretty clear at media day that there is a tinge of jealousy at how much attention we now get. Add in the saltiness over us leaving the Pac12 and a team like Nebraska on the schedule who leads college football in trash talk per loss, and I think it’s crucial that we have a player like Shilo here.

I don't know how much he will play but I get a sense that Bishop Thomas will push some buttons as well.
