I would agree that rushing the field is a compliment to the other team, but also a reflection of our own expectations. Rushing the field means you think the other team isn't just good, but that they are great, that they have a tradition of excellence. Or that the game was really important (ie. conference championship on the line). None of these things apply to the coug. Rushing the field after a nice win (which is what WSU was) means you don't believe in yourself and your ability to beat good teams or just are too clueless to understand what a really big win is. I would say that the current students probably fall in both those categories. Due to the long dry years they both lack confidence and not understanding what a big win is.At first I agreed with you, then was reminded by others here how long it's been. Rushing the field because you're excited about The Rise is okay with me. BTW, rushing against a team is a compliment to that team, not mocking them.
Teach them we must.....
Then let them feel the power of the dark side and how to let the hate flow through them.
