University of Minnesota Athletic Director Norwood Teague resigned on Friday morning after several illicit text messages he sent to two university employees during a recent school event resulted in sexual harassment claims against him.
Teague sent the following statement to the media: "At a recent University event, I had entirely too much to drink. I behaved badly toward nice people, including sending truly inappropriate texts. I am embarrassed and apologize for my offensive behavior. This behavior neither reflects my true character nor the values of the University."

At first, I thought this whole thing was a sad, feeble attempt to act out on a crush when his discretion was impaired. But that second account makes it very clear what a predatory creep he really is. **** him.

In both this and the Farve photo texts, my first thought was someone stole his phone and was trying to be funny. It just is strange that anyone could think this was okay.
 
There are women out there who are just as bad and do the same kind of stuff. We had the mother of a student sending this kind of stuff to a male teacher (married and definitely not interested) a few years back. It wouldn't be shocking if he didn't have some success doing this stuff in the past.

Still in no way makes it okay. The woman he sent it to and the others he may have sent stuff like this to in the past should never have to deal with this stuff. The fact that he is in a position where he can impact their employment standing makes it even worse.

Nobody expect someone to be perfect but this guy is the face of the most visible department on a university campus. Under no circumstances is this okay for somebody in that position, he is being well paid in part to make them look good, not bad.

It will be interesting where his career goes from here. He has probably developed some connections in private industry that might help him get a job in the private sector. Can't see how he will ever work in a public university setting again. First step might be rehab and counseling to deal with his issues with drinking and inappropriate behavior.
 
Hard to believe the old "I want to stick my tongue in your clit" pickup line didn't work.
