The 30 second shot clock and fewer timeouts a half would be a good start. I like the upsets in the tourney but for the regular season I think SOS should be a bigger factor leading to tournament selection. Have the power conferences schedule more peers and midmajors, midmajors schedule peers and low majors, leave that D2 scheduling crap including exhibition games for the low majors. I want to see teams tested and show that they're for real in the fall and not wait until the middle of January to realize the hype was a bust.
Also, I enjoy women's basketball when it's a team I cheer for like the Buffs, but Geno has some pretty big words for a sport where you can fill out a Final Four bracket in October and be close to guaranteed money in April. He is a fantastic coach but my number one gripe about the women's game is the lack of competition the top 10 ranked teams will face all year. The repeated cycle of UCONN winning and then continuing to get the best athletes recruited into their system makes for very predictable seasons in which the usual suspects get seeded highly and you get 4 #1 seeds in the semifinals. Not arguing that the best shouldn't be in there, but seeing scores between major programs in the tournament that lopsided doesn't make me want to watch.
