This team has a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

The fact that we only saw one corner totally beaten in the game was a big step up over the previous weekend and a good sign.

If no one stood out, that's generally a good thing.

Marquez is a walk-on safety that's been in the program a few years.

I thought Bell, Olatoye, and Hawkins played pretty well when they were in there. Brown is really good at getting DBs ready to play at this level.
 
Nobody stood out to me either good or bad (although Canty made a few DB's look very foolish and run into each other)....i tried to focus/watch a few as well, but really the only corner who made a play was Jordan Marquez (picking off the very 1st pass from Burnette), and I've never heard of him nor do I expect him to be an actual game day contributor
He is Michael Marquez's son, from coach Mac's big in-state class in 83, and was a PWO Frosh last year. Great kid.
