Joe Klecker ran the fastest mile ever in the state of Colorado in 4:01.00 at the CU Invitational on Jan. 31. It earns No. 7 in our countdown of top performances from 2019-20.


Joe Klecker made history on Jan. 31 at CU's Indoor Practice Facility in the CU Invitational when he ran the fastest mile ever on Colorado soil. His time of 4:01.00 was 27/100 of a second faster than the previous record set at 4,000 feet of elevation, more than 1,000 feet lower than Boulder.
