Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

Funny thing is Shedeur has not played particularly well (for him) in a lot of games this year. He's still putting up good numbers, but not what he's capable of. And he still has played his way into the list!

If he gets hot, it's gonna be a blood bath stats wise to close the season. But at this point, for whatever reason, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. He's just a little off.

Something else that was brought up in that interview: Hunter runs routes, all game. Either he's running them, or he's covering dudes running them. Even if it's a rushing play, guys are running DBs off. He's running guys off or the guy he's covering is running him off. Then he's either blocking or trying to get off a block, but he starts off running. Dr McCarty says they track Travis's running stats per game, but wouldn't put a number on it, but he did say it was 'miles'.

It's not the end all, be all, but think about it. Most of his competition are quarterbacks. They only run when their number is called or if they're under pressure. They're also rarely hit. Ashton Jeanty runs when his number is called, plus he runs the occasional pass route. He does get hit a lot because he runs the ball a lot, so there is that. Of course, they all only play on offense.

I suppose this might be a Jokeresque thing in terms of stats vs flash, but it's important in that he's playing at the level he is while literally running miles more PER GAME than everyone else.

I vote every morning. I just leave the window open on my phone and it refreshes without having to do anything. So that 5 seconds to vote for Travis is an easy addition to my morning routine.
Same here. I just wish you could vote at least twice.
