Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

Pity prize.

I had a feeling when they brought in Prime to speak after the Biletnikoff and were already talking about the Heisman....

I would not retire his number, but would not give it to anybody except for a special player that is as dual purpose as he was. We have unretired all numbers, but place a special moniker on those jerseys

Everything needs to step it up next year during game days

Also, FWIW, the Maxwell seems to be awarded to the best player on the “best” team (similar to how the NFL chooses MVP) and the Heisman is the best player. So while I think Boise State is incredibly overrated, they did make the CFP so that probably explains the win.

But even if Travis doesn’t win the Heisman, it’s been an incredible season, and I’m glad he was at CU for two years.

I wonder how much overlap there is between Heisman voters and Maxwell voters, and if there potentially a lot of vote splitting as a consolation to the great season Jeanty has had
