Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

The online haters said that he was doing his magic against inferior college talent, but now he is demonstrating the same skills against NFL players. My only wish is that he stays uninjured.
Yep. Finding that balance of what he can handle on both sides of the ball may take some time. We'll see how his body holds up

Injury is the only thing that will stop him from being a superstar.

I really believe Travis can do just as well on both sides of the ball as he did in college. The NFL game is slower but obviously a longer season. Pull him when he's not needed (short yardage rush situations on both sides of the ball), no special teams, take him out if the game is out of reach etc. He can do it.

I am not going to say whether Travis can or can not do something. He has proven he is a very special football player. However, his usage in college will be very difficult to impossible to replicate in the NFL.

What a unicorn for sure

I'm not sure if everyone can see this paywalled The Athletic article, but it ranks every #1 nationally ranked high school recruit from each year in the 21st Century, based only upon college performance (not NFL). Vince Young and Travis are ranked 1 and 2, which is correct in my mind. Great article.

I did not know that
Yeah, technically when you go work for your company in Chicago, you owe Illinois state taxes on the money you earn while there (and Colorado will give you credit on your CO taxes for that income).

Most states (and taxpayers) ignore/ don't enforce this for typically salaried workers like us - it's not worth the hassle to pursue someone for taxes on 16 (or whatever) days of wages.

But, for highly compensated individuals like, say, professional athletes, they absolutely don't ignore it.

Travis will also likely make into the 8 figures annually with his shoe deal, other endorsements, investments, etc. with good financial advice, which he seems to be getting.

It isn't even pads, but still..

I think if any of us tried that move, even in our prime, both ACLs are shot and training staff is carting us off the field
