I agree that A) the student section at kickoff was underwhelming and B) that’s very likely due to the fact that the AD still hasn’t figured out an efficient way to get them into the game. The fact that eventually the student section filled in completely indicates that the problem lies with the gate attendants and not with the students themselves.

It is 100% because the students can’t get to their seats efficiently. We had to wait til 10 minutes to kickoff to go in because we had to meet our party. We got into our seats just as the game kicked off, and we saw the massive crush as the kids tried to get through ticket gates then the tunnels.

I fear though that the only way to solve it is to rebuild the upper bowl so that there are more and wider entrance/exit tunnels.
 
Late to the party but great win, although wasn't a very exciting game. Was surprised to see Becht so off early on and all the drops, caught a bit of a break but doesn't matter.

Defense got some big stops on 4th down but needs to be much better on downs 1-3.

Offense concerns the hell out of me struggling against a bad ISU defense.

BTW #22 from ISU, the kid who went down while trying to catch a swing pass in the first quarter, is out for the season with an ACL or Achilles. It was his first collegiate snap.

That’s a bummer for him. He caught that pretty close to us and right when he went down I immediately said “I think we just watched him tear his ACL” it was pretty obvious. Hope he bounces back well

Iowa St was 2 -12 on 3rd down against CU.
