Volleyball vs #6 UCLA and #8 USC

The Buffs kind of fell apart a little bit at the end of the second set as they lose 19-25

And it's over USC completes the sweep 29-31, 19-25, 17-25. The Buffs fought very hard but just maybe ran out of gas at the end. Maybe if they had closed out the first set and had the momentum, the result may have been different.

The glass half empty version of tonights match is that the Buffs just couldn't stop making unforced errors and the match spiralled downhill fast after the middle of the second set.

The glass half full version is that, for one and a half sets the Buffs played toe to toe with a top ten team. Both teams were playing well. The Buffs had 4 set points but couldn't convert; USC had 3 set points and won on the third. The Buffs showed during this time what they are capable of. Now they need to put it together for a full match.

That seems like the story of the season. Maybe it's because they are a young team but either way the future looks bright for the Buffs.
