I want you guys are smoking
unless we fix OLine and deep pass coverage, I cannot agree that it will be close- unless 48-12 is considered close. It really comes down to this for me.
Neither team knows who they are or what they have yet. Both teams have played a soft schedule and at times looked solid and at times looked rough. UW is going to be coming into a loud and hostile road environment, which they haven't dealt with yet (Rutgers does not count), and then you add in the altitude factor.
CU has a much bigger shot in this game then some fans are expecting.
Now I don't think we win, because I think UW is legit and Peterson is a hell of a coach (Damnit BSU, letting us take the wrong dude). Still think it is pretty close.

It's not unusual to travel for games, all I'm saying is that a 6 hour plane ride and a 3 hour time change is a tougher trip for a team than a 45 minute bus ride to SAF.Meh. In the middle of the season that sort of travel would suck. For the first game, they probably went a day or two early. Had school ever started yet?
Key to the game, IMO.Can the front seven hold up? It was eye-opening in that Pac-12 Championship when their OL was getting a lot of push in the run game.
yea, they got 5 yards before contact all day. LBs got blown up by Gaskin. Only thing that kept us in that game was the passing D.Can the front seven hold up? It was eye-opening in that Pac-12 Championship when their OL was getting a lot of push in the run game.
The other side presents challenge as well. Two good DL, one really, really good, disruptive. Two solid LBs, both can run. And at least one DB that likes to hit.Key to the game, IMO.
It's a hangover from the way last season ended and the lethargic start this year and all of that compared to how we started last season. Last season we began the year with a "we are going to kick your ass" attitude. This season not so much.I'm getting very annoyed at the number of Buffs fans acting like we're 30 point underdogs and talking about what would constitute a moral victory on Saturday. WTF?
Right, but if the front seven can't hold their own against them, it won't matter. The other side presents challenge as well. Two good DL, one really, really good, disruptive. Two solid LBs, both can run. And at least one DB that likes to hit.
Last season was weird because the team peaked in the first third of the season and then wore down. This season is on the opposite trajectory and is more normal. I went into this year expecting to need to work out some kinks and that the team would be playing its best football in November. Did others think that it would be a team that started fast out of the gates? It's a hangover from the way last season ended and the lethargic start this year and all of that compared to how we started last season. I thought the offensive line would come out in a much better rhythm. I think that has been the biggest eye opener so far, I actually said a couple times before the season started I liked what I saw from the defense in terms of replacing the defensive backs but the front seven has played pretty damn well considering what they lost.Last season was weird because the team peaked in the first third of the season and then wore down. bigger surprise: DL or OL?Did you go into the season expecting many of the kinks needed to be worked out to be on the offensive side?
don't punt it to him..worrisome
5. Coverage teams haven't been tested ... yet. That's something that will almost certainly change this week. So far, CU's Davis Price has kicked off 20 times for the Buffs, and only three have been returned, for a total of 43 yards. Kinney, meanwhile, has seen just two of his punts returned, for a total of 9 yards. But waiting on the other end of Kinney's punts this week will be Washington standout Dante Pettis, who has returned a punt for a score in three straight games this year (and an NCAA record-tying eight times in his career). The Huskies will no doubt test the Buffs in this area.

Boulder/Longmont both had lots of lightning last Friday night right around 9 p.m. Let's hope this same type of cold front doesn't come through Saturday night. If a game had been played last Friday there would for sure have been a delay of at least an hour.I'm honestly just hoping the weather ends up being OK. I can deal with a chilly night, just don't want to deal with another **** show that was the 2015 Oregon game due to lightning.
I'd say both actually.bigger surprise: DL or OL?
