Buffs won by 5 in Pullman, 75-70.
As frustrating as last week was, a win tonight and we're sitting in decent shape at 18-7 (7-5). Wazzu, as bad as their record is, does have some nice pieces like Hawkinson. They're bad, but in my opinion they aren't 1-17 in the Pac bad. They're going to knock off another unsuspecting team or two down the stretch. Live RPI gives CU an 87% chance of victory.
A loss would be a disaster for CU's NCAA Tournament hopes. Cannot happen.

Tory and Wes are gonna have to come up big if Hawkinson plays and Josh doesn't.

WSU has played most everyone very close. I expect a close game. CU really needs to win out at home.

Out of 11 PAC 12 games, WSU has lost by more than 10 points in 8 of them. I realize the final score doesn't tell the whole story, but it doesn't seem right to say they've played "most everyone very close."

@StormTrooper I know you are doing everything you can to build the section back up, but you guys need to make sure RG is aware of the perception of the C-Unit. It has gotten to the point that the announcers are commenting on it. The AD needs to do something.
Some opinions are better left unstated. If you are a student fine. If you are not; poor form making expressions like this as a bystander. There is a difference between observation and being inflammatory. I would look at how S2S handled the same situation as a guide.

Just said its really lacking and that 2 or 3 years ago that the student section was the best in the conference and now... it has work to do. Said the curtain of distraction is showing you all up. Said the C-Unit really needs to work on getting more people in the crowd. Used to be standing room only, now its pretty easy to get a seat.
It's not just the student section. Even on allbuffs, I had to start the game day thread. There's no excitement.
I think the pac 12 network has been an abject failure. Even though I stayed with comcast because it carries the pac 12 network, I don't get most of the games. Tonight, what is available through the cable box is a gymnastics meet and a pac-12 classic game that is a regular season Cal game from several years ago. In order to watch the game, I have to stream it. To make it reasonably watchable, I have to have it hardwired on ethernet cables which means moving all kinds of **** around and connecting power cables to my laptop and hdmi cables to my TV. No thanks, I just watched the democratic debate.
I imagine the biggest problem with the attendance is that the buffs haven't beaten a good team in a long time and tend to get embarrassed by quality opponents of late. Tadball is cool and all, but if whenever the team sniffs the top 25 they get exposed by a real top 25 team, it gets a bit old.
Are you a student. If you are and you're pissed, then good. The intended tone of my post worked. If you are not, have you been to a game lately? Everything I said is true. It's sad, pathetic and embarrassing. This team deserves better.
I'll bet anything that we outdraw ASU in terms of average student attendance, but that curtain is such a publicity magnet. There are still more students here tonight than could even fit in many student sections in this conference. I don't dispute at all that it isn't what it was though. I think a lot of people started taking it for granted.
You gonna call out all the empty yellow chairs outside the student section too?
Absolutely. People in my section get pissed because my group - wife and two kids get vocal during a sporting event. They're just as sad. But gets the thing, if the student section is strong, it inspires the blue hairs and hand sitters.
