He seemed off today. I know he got sacked and pressured a bunch. Was Stanford's rush rattling him? Was their coverage that good?
Thank god Lindsay was able to run the ball.
It is a good thing that he is taking care of the ball. Still no INTs.
Anyone have any ideas?
uh huhMaybe a Wednesday post. Sure as **** not a Saturday night after a monumental (however ugly) win post.
Definitely part of the problem. Sefo's trajectory was just off today as well. It happens. He made enough plays to win and that is what matters. You guys realize Stanford has a very good defense... right?
When healthy, like they were tonight, they are damn goodYou guys realize Stanford has a very good defense... right?
Eh. Would rather defenses try to stop it. If we keep doing, it means they can't.and, did i mention that i ****ing love our offense? seriously. we are running the ball with ****ing authority from a no-huddle high-speed offense. we are ****ing dangerous mofos on offense.
one thing i might look at, tendency-wise, right about now in the bye week... long gain via pass play is almost always followed by an inside handoff while the defense is still gassed. i might try to switch that up since it is on film, a lot.
Folsom is going to be nasty and I can't ****ing waitWe won.
It wasn't pretty, but we won.
Now we have a bye week to sort some stuff out, heal up a bit, and get ready for some UCLA ass-kicking .
That strike to Fields was beautiful.Sefo was throwing some worm burners today. Also made some throws and found other ways to move the sticks. Most importantly, he didn't turn the ball over. I doubt he's happy with how he played, but he did a hell of a lot to win today's game with excellent game management and toughness. Week off will probably do him good.
Warrior Sefo would never mention it much less use it as an excuse but I wonder if he is still feeling the ankle.
He ran effectively today so it is obvious that he is healed up enough to play but I wonder if soreness or stiffness in the ankle is impacting his throwing motion. He didn't look like he was entirely comfortable on some throws and he had a lot of passes that weren't on the mark like we have come to expect this year.
High ankle sprains are notoriously slow to heal and painful to play on.
It looked like Sefo was really favoring his knee after one play, then ended up scrambling for like an 8 yard gain on the next play, and I didn't really see him favoring it again after that. Guy's pretty amazing.the guy threw a 65 yard td strike on the button on one leg at michigan, right after the injury occurred. i would hazard a guess that he just had a bad day and that his ankle pretty much had nothing to do with it.

When the dust settles on this season and the trophies are in the cases, a narrative will emerge.
And that story will tell of a leader whose commitment to the Buffs was unshakable, even as a recruit. How as a true freshman he was thrown in the fire. How he would take a beating--and in the words of Robert Earl Keen--laugh at all those sonsabitches who said he'd never get back up.
And how he led the Buffs to Tomorrow-morrow land. Captain Walker.
