No insight but I just have a feeling we hear something today
TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hope we hear something, **** is getting old.
First, "unlikely" is different than "couldn't". Second, I'm not as down on him as others, he did a lot of good and needs more support. Why couldn't he? Maybe this new offense would fit his skill set better. Maybe an improved OL would allow him to improve his decision making. Maybe the new division of responsibilities at OC will allow Lindgren more time to work with him and tweak mechanical problems.
Saying that a player can't improve is short sighted. The question to ask should be whether or not the improvements would be enough to win football games.
And Champ BaileyIsn't it the same thing Clady had? That's what I thought anyway.
For me, I know what to expect from Sefo if he is healthy and named starter. I know that we should have a team that was extremely close to winning a lot of games last year. Even if Sefo stays the same, and we see improvement at other positions, it may be enough to push the team over the hump.
use an alias Nik, I would go with Ron MexicoTried my sources, but no update as of this morning.
(Independence CC claims they don't know dick, but I'm convinced they're playing coy. I'll call them back in an hour.)
Sefo should definitely improve from his junior to senior year I just think those saying he will make a large jump forward are expecting too much. Now, an improved offensive line and a small step forward from sefo could get us to a bowl game but that wouldn't be all Sefo improving.

Give credit where credit is due; I think @buffaholic said somewhere that 2 years ago CU led the conference in fewest sacks allowed whereas last year we allowed the most sacks in conference. So yes, I think that fixing that issue would probably help Sefos game quite a bit.
Based off of everything I've heard Sefo will be ready by fall camp probably at 80-85 percent health. That I don't know. @FightCu1414 may have heard, but they are keeping info about his status pretty tight.
Did having the fewest sacks in 2014 help Sefo? He threw 15 INT's, had the lowest Yards Per Attempt of his career (6.43), had a QB rating of 57.5 and the team's record was 2-10, with wins coming against Umass and Hawaii. He is a tough competitor, just not a very good QB at this level, there are no stats to validate otherwise over a three year period.
Kent Baer's defense, or lack thereof, didnt help us close out a couple we could have won. Games where Sefo scored to put us ahead. Im not saying Sefo is awesome. But that he is capable of positioning the team to win.
I think that Sefo also had kind of an arena football mentality. The defense isn't going to stop anyone so we have to score on every possession. A lot of his turnovers came from trying make things happen. When that becomes forcing things bad INTs usually happen.
If he can play more within himself the INTs should be reduced a lot. Not seeing the opponent scoring almost every time they have the ball should help.
When they defense couldnt get a stop Sefo went back out there and tied the game. If you put your QB in that situation, put him in situations where he has to win the game, eventually hes going to make mistakes.
We could have won these 4...
September 27 2:00 PM at California Memorial Stadium • Berkeley, CA L 56–59 2OT
October 4 2:00 PM Oregon State Folsom Field • Boulder, CO L 31–36
October 25 12:00 PM #25 UCLAFolsom Field • Boulder, CO L 37–40 2OT
November 29 11:00 AM Utah Folsom Field • Boulder, CO L 34–38
Our defense gave up 38 points or more in every game but 2 (31 & 12).
Even if we had won them we were a barely middle of the road team. With the OL we had last year we lost the ability for the QB (Sefo or anyone) to be the difference maker that kept it close. Maybe this year will be different. Will the OL be #1 again like they were in 2014? Doubtful. Hopefully they'd be in the middle.
We fixed the defensive problem at least.
When an offense is scoring into the 30's it's hard to blame the QB for every loss.
