Where Will We Rank?

Where will we rank Tuesday in the CFP poll?

After the top six, seems ranking from there gets pretty tough.

Yep. I was going back and forth with Howell on Twitter last night about this. Fact is, when there are so few 1-loss P5 teams then just about every team has a lot of warts and there are a lot of valid arguments for and against everyone.

Question, if other conferences don't play a conference championship game, should any of them do it?

I count 7 undefeated and one loss P5 teams. That is very low.

Then there are 15 teams with 2 losses, and you can pretty much guarantee at least one of those losses in an eyebrow raiser in most cases.

Other than those Colorado buffaloes, yes.

Agree, but the Pac playing 9 conference games while others play 8 is bulls**t.

Definitely adds losses. But where it helps is that Pac-12 teams will be playing P5 opponents these last 3 weeks while aTm mixes in a home game against UTSA. If the committee cares about scheduling as much as it claims, 4 home games in the OOC vs UCLA, Prairie View, NM State & UTSA will hurt them.

Aren't the AP and Coaches polls essentially irrelevant now, once the Committee came out with its initial rankings? I know it's the only one I'm going to pay any attention to from now on.

I don't see us getting through Washington in the conference championship game. Best case scenario is we run the table and Washington loses to USC and Wazzu. Then we beat Wazzu again in the conf championship game. not terribly far fetched

We don't jump up far enough without beating an undefeated Washington

Probably not but I like our chances against them a whole hell of a lot better outside Seattle than I would in Seattle. Glad the conference got rid of the home game championship game.

How to the Tennessee, sponsored by Home Depot Volunteers get any "also receiving votes" at all? SEC? They beat some 7 man high school team and they get votes?

I like it for this year, for sure, but in general I liked the home field championship game. PAC fan bases just aren't die hard enough to fill neutral sites very well.

****ing Stanford fans weren't diehard enough to fill their own stadium for the CCG.

I think that outrageously embarrassing night killed the home CCG idea for good.
