Yep to 1 and 2 and I think we are also still sore about ASU taking Ballage and heavily recruiting Colorado. We are a state with a small high school population and really need the one or two 4-stars that Colorado produces every year.

CU starting to win will stop ASU from taking players in state. Simple as that.

Sun Devils ain't nothing but an impediment on CU's P12 South title quest. Certainly most ASU fans flip that and reciprocate the sentiment.

i was headed from one location to another to talk w/ some friends at the usc game and i stopped in one of the tunnels to watch CU pick off a pass. in front of me were a group of highly intoxicated Buff Bros. they all had to be early 20s. They went bat-**** crazy when we picked it off and they were hugging and high-fiving and then singing the fight song, which i joined in with from the tunnel. they ended with a very raucous F em Up F em Up, GO CU! the gray haired sc fans in the area were appalled. i turned to one old guy next to me who was sputtering and turning purple being offended by the presence of a large group of drunk Buffs and then the inappropriate language-- i didn't laugh at him aloud. instead, i said, "you just got a glimpse of the future. we take no prisoners when we are good. the p12 has no idea what they are dealing with because we've not been good for so many years. this is going to be awesome. for us." he spluttered and stuttered and i walked off.
I really want to see this guys response.
I keep coming back, hoping to see something.
I don't wanna anybody from CU or another team to get hurt. Since he's got an ankle issue though, let's cripple that ankle. Then we'll deal with the other guy, I don't have an injury for him yet, I'll think of one.

Smack talk is cool. I hope we can show the PAC how an alumni with 1200 SAT minds can bring a whole new level of repartee to the hippies, the Aspergers, the irredeemably shallow, the polygamists and the escorts paying for school that comprise our new conference. Don't we always want visitors like LiverFlukes, whom we laugh with, or that Utah dude...devildog or what the I forget ever...whom we laugh at?
However, I personally hope that the buff-holes never return. That era was just lame and stupid and probably lost us enough Karma as to be the 'real' reason why we should have been relegated to the FCS for a decade. God did not smile on us. Perhaps the low point was the game where someone threw a zip-lock bag filled with piss from the nosebleed seats and it hit some Nebraska grandma on the chest on a night when it was like 20 degrees....or so the story goes. As funny as that is theoretically, it was absolutely an asshole move in practice and the dude that threw it should have been thrown from the stands onto Colorado Avenue. As we get better I hope we don't see that turd reemerge from the annals of CU history. Lets calm the **** down with all that misdirected hatred. Your wealthy California father does love you and besides, we have legal pot now.

First off, good post.
Secondly, as Burrito will attest, I was the worst fan ever when I was in school. But only to nebraska fans. And I think that's the joke here. We'll smack talk a little, and we love our identity as bad fans. But we're typically very respectful to visiting fanbases, and the stuff we do isn't mean-spirited. We're mostly poking fun of ourselves. And I don't think anybody actually ever threw a bag of piss; that would be horrible.
