Who is next?

reed just twitted something about jones looking into the vacancy at FIU (see the coaching search page). So this thread now seems to be very relevant.

I know CU isn't the job it once was, but going with FIU (probably at a much reduced salary) over CU is just completely insane to me.

Dmac is suggesting CU's backsups are "spread OC candidates" if we don't get butch. I'm waiting in suspense for his suggested candidates.

So Bohn is limiting himself to coaches with a spread pedigree? That is pretty narrow if a fact. Personally I want a defensive orientated coach.

Well the coach may be a defensive minded head coach but may prefer his offense to be a spread. Both DeRuyter and Mendenhall are defensive guys.

If Jones falls through it is time to start looking at coordinators. Such as Smart,Diaco, and Wilcox. I just hope that whoever comes here gets ride of be pro style offense.

There are quality head coaches out there to be had before going the coordinator route. Remember a head coach like DeRuyter WAS the hot coordinator two years ago.

I hope Bohn has someone ready to accept the job if Jones ever says yes or no. My choices: Mason (Stanford DC), DeReuyter, Dykes or Chavis (LSU DC).

There is nothing wrong with the pro-style, the problem is EB is bad at calling it.

Maybe our new coach can bring in Christobal as o-line coach so we can poach Hines and McCollum. Oooh, that would be deviant!
