wonder if we had hired peterson instead of hawkins.. bygones

They're so good because they get the most out of their talent. # of players in the NFL doesn't equate into college football wins, otherwise CU's 1991-1993 teams would have all won 11 games,if they played Boise's schedule.

CU would have gone undefeated from 1991-1993 if they had played Boise's schedule - are you kidding? CU played some of the toughest schedules in college football back then.

And this is the real way to look at it. How many teams would be undefeated if they had Boises schedule. If they only had to really work and prepare for 3-4 games a year, the rest are walk-overs. If they knew that they would have enough blowouts to rest key players and avoid injury at the same time developing their backups with game experience.

I look at the major conferences and see at least 10 teams that would go undefeated with Boises schedule and another 10-15 that would have a shot at undefeated and lose one or two at the most.

Even the Big (l)east teams have a much harder grind to their season than Boise. Tell me that playing Idaho and Utah State and San Jose and New Mexico State aren't better than having a bye week. Tell me that Louisiana Tech is the same as playing even an Iowa State or a Cincinnati or Louiseville. Even Fresno and Hawaii are a step down in talent. Most good teams would feast on a schedule like Boise plays in Conference then they play one or two decent teams along with such powerhouses as Wyoming and Toledo OOC.
