Salter:This team needs a 41-14 kind of blowout win in the worst way. Salter with 225+ and 3TDs passing with 50+ rushing and 1 TD.
Have to gain some serious confidence going into the next 4 games of BYU, TCU, Iowa State and Utah.
He has graded out poorly in run blocking to this point, according to PFF. Grain of salt and all that, but I think he has some work to do there. Elite pass blocker thoughWas it my imagination last night or did the CU offensive line run block significantly better once Seaton was out of the game with an injury?
Texas Tech is the best team in the BXII and we don’t play them. Iowa State also looks pretty good, but we get to play them at home.we need 8+ wins. there are no world beaters in this conference. we lost a lot of great players to the nfl. we win 8+ this year, and that there is a very ****ing good rebuild.
there are no Godzillas in the bi12. seize the ****ing conference by the short and curlies and make it ours.
Neely said everyone who got injured today will play next week. TifwiwWhat happened to Seaton
From what I’ve heard, Pat still called the game but they emphasized Salter being himself and he got really comfortable. It was Wyoming.
But.
What other game in the last 5 years has a defense rushed 6 or 7, and the o- line + rb has blocked all of them AND given the qb plenty of time to pass?
I think there has to have been a play or two here or there that that happened, but last night it happened multiple times.
I don't know what happened, if there was a change this week, if things finally "clicked," or if it was just having a qb that was a real threat to run, but last night was probably the best offensive line performance, both pass pro and running, we've seen in years. Maybe even a decade.
Against any opponent.
As bad as the three QB thing was, it might have given Salter (and the coaching staff) the push he needed. From what I’ve heard, Pat still called the game but they emphasized Salter being himself and he got really comfortable.
For what little the transitive property is worth, we looked better against Wyoming than Utah did. We're still ****ed. It was Wyoming.
Or maybe they'll round out the final four in the playoffs, but I doubt it.

Sit down, Ronnie DesantisTired of people on this board constantly trying to shove this trans-pronoun sh*t down our throats.
For what little the transitive property is worth, we looked better against Wyoming than Utah did.
Probably need to beat WVU and Arizona to get to 6. Kansas State looks like an absolute dumpster fire, so I might add them here. This was the kind of game that CU really needed. They still need to get better in order to compete with the top end of the Big 12. But there were some meaningful signs of improvement on both sides of the ball.
BYU now becomes a really interesting game. Win that one, which will require further improvement from the Wyoming game, and we may have some meaningful football to watch in November.
Man with 2 high over the topOn the TD that Vickers gave up. Could anyone tell if that was straight man that he got beat on or if that was a Cover 2 type of zone? I saw the Safety coming over the top and Vickers trailing which makes me think it was C2 but didn’t get to see a replay
He looked better throwing the ball this game than anytime I've seen in 2023 or 2024 but his confidence was 2023 with running and not playing scared and that was the Salter i was hyping up all offseasonRewatching the highlights. Salter deserves his flowers. I’m sure plenty of guys would have mailed it in after how the staff bungled the position management. He came out and balled. And from a passing perspective, he was going through reads, fit the ball in some tight windows, and was throwing on the run really well. This was the Salter we all saw on film from Liberty and were hoping for. My only complaint about his play is the same one I had last night. He was missing pretty much every read option read until he finally got it right on the long rushing tud. He probably could have had 75 more yards rushing if he made the right reads, the edges were collapsing all game long.
Carter messed up more than Vickers.Man with 2 high over the top
I don't think they are overrated. Dampier just hasn't played well in the last two. That has hurt them a lot.I think Utah is wildly overrated and got exposed yesterday, but it was in Laramie and their kicker was gawd awful that night.
If it’s man with 2 high, the CBs should be able to be a little more aggressive. They have to figure something out with the other Safety spot. Byard is an all conference level player but Carter and Ben are both liabilities.Carter messed up more than Vickers.
Did anyone else notice a Klopfenstein playing for FukBailor? On their losing play at the goal lineBuffs win!
That's the Salter I was expecting.
Saw a lot of things I liked tonight. OL had a very good game. Buffs went down field. Defense finally generated some pressure.
On a day when Nebraska, Utah, Baylor and CSU all lost.
