He definitely inherited a mess. Finances, public relations, university backlash from scandal, facilities, etc. There are a host of accomplishments during his tenure. There are also some notable failures, most notably in the areas of coaching hires and scheduling.

Early this year, Bohn went public with plans for a "transformational" improvement to Folsom and Dal Ward.

Descriptions of the plan included training facilities that would enhance recruiting as well as player development. It included an expansion and improvement of Folsom that would enclose the North end and bring capacity to somewhere around 65k.

Lately, Bohn has backed off the September announcement.

Is this project the tipping point for you in your estimation of Bohn's job performance?

To put it another way, is this the type of announcement that solidifies or gains your support if he makes it... and erodes or loses your support if he doesn't?

Is this the project that either gives Bohn long-term job security or has fans calling for his head?

Would a scaled back and/or delayed project make you more or less favorable toward Bohn than you are now?

I have to bite my tongue about how I feel about this administration but it rivals my support for a team 45 minutes north.

Not the right guy for the job going forward. Unfortunately, he has job security.

i'm honestly getting to the point where i just don't give a **** anymore. its tough to care when you don't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Up until now, his biggest successes have been getting us out of the big tex league and into the P-12 and the hiring of Boyle. So for now, I'll reserve passing judgement on him

This project needs to get done at the levels we were expecting last Spring. Bottom line. It is scaled back at all and he needs to go. It is not announced this fall or the announcement is delayed beyond this fall, he needs to go. Odds are I am going to be feeling like he should be gone.

He didn't really have that much to do with the conference switch though. Scott wanted CU badly. One accomplishment in 7 years is bad.

He wilts like a dead flower again and he needs to go - problem is, if the s h i t heads at the top aren't gone too, then we're no better off than we were before.

I've been supportive of Bohn all along. I liked his personality when it came to PR and it seemed like he really understood what was needed in terms of trying to restore the fan base and build support for CU. At least when he first came. I could excuse the HaLkins choice, because he was highly regarded by a lot of programs. And I can easily believe that the decision to not fire the moron came from above Bohn's head... Seeing CU through the Pac-12 admission process propped up my fading confidence in him for a while.

But I'm just about done. The scheduling makes no sense. The last coaching search seemed to be way too focused on trying to make in house constituencies happy rather than turning over every stone for the best possible candidate. He's consistently too willing to set goals for the football program that are far short of what the goals for CU football should be. And then we see the program fail to even approach the goals he has articulated, with absolutely no apparent consequences, or even pressure, put on anybody. His marketing strategy seems to have evolved into "discount as many tickets to as many games as possible" combined with "let's hope the season ticket holders don't notice.." And even with the promise of a much bigger conference payout coming in the next couple years, he can't seem to get desperately needed facility improvements off the ground. It's starting to appear that he may even be delaying them by tying them to high cost projects of questionable import (stadium expansion). And donor support? We keep hearing it's coming........................................................................................................................................ someday.

I'll give him credit for a lot of things connected to the hoops program - hiring Boyle, getting the practice facility done (even if that just fulfilled a contractual requirement with Buzz...). A lot of the things that were done to get fan support to LA and ABQ last season. Did I mention hiring Boyle? Oh, and hiring Boyle...

Now we've got another 1, 2 punch of declaring that "getting to the Rose Bowl" is his ultimate goal for the football program and yet another report that the facility upgrades aren't getting funded. What, exactly, is there to point to that would make anybody think Bohn is going to turn this thing around? The feeling that he's got more than a bit in common with Dan HaLkins when it comes to running a football program is getting harder and harder to shake... He NEEDS to make this happen, and sooner rather than later...

This.

Seriously I might sound like Waldo but we are headed down the same path as the University of Chicago.

Grow a backbone and demand success from your athletic program and use the resources given to you in order to better the program. I don't care how big or little the budget is, rally the troops and get the morale up. Thats my sentiment without knowing all the ins and outs of running a good college athletics program.

Bohn needs this facilities upgrade to become a reality, and soon. You can't put the teasers out there and back off them later without MAJOR fan and booster backlash.

I still support Bohn for now, if only because I am terrified about who this administration would hire to replace him.

If CU ended up as a top 5 university in just about everything imaginable I'd be fine with that. Instead we have CU slipping in most rankings.

I've lost patience with Bohn. I want a strong AD and more and more he just comes across as timid or indecisive. He can say whatever he wants about expectations and the Rose Bowl, but he has failed time and again with the football program and his words ring hollow.

DII and the extra year.
The Rocky Mountain Showdown and he still walks around and acts like the fans love the game in Denver.
Scheduling Meatchicken for a one and done road game.
The Toledo game schedule eff-up.

The list can go on for a long time with all his screw-ups. The list of his accomplishments right now stands at 1 with Tad.

The real problems are higher than Bohn. I wont invest in this program until we have leadership that understands how imortant a successful football team is to the University. There is no commitment at the top, and football is seen as a necessary evil instead of an assett. I think Bohn has done an admirable job considering the priorities of his boss'.

Well said there. Who would we replace Bohn with?!? No one on this board has suggested names as far as I know. It's not like there is a Bill Moos waiting to take a job.

We should do everything possible to be the best team in the BCS..... Including any and all future cover ups.....

We should offer recruits large sums of money and once they sign the LOI we pull out and not pay them. No rules against lying to 18 year old kids.

I've been a big supporter of Mike Bohn for a long time. He's VERY good at what he does, which is PR. He's accessible and conspicuous. He's everywhere. He supports all the teams at CU, not just one. In many ways, that may be his biggest downfall. There's no denying that the cross country, skiing, and basketball programs have all done very well under his leadership. He's invested money in facilities upgrades for virtually every program... but one.

His scheduling - particularly the UM one-off - is awful. He doesn't seem to take the fans or the community into consideration when he pulls stunts like this. The 10-year CSU Invesco contract is an albatross around this program's neck. He needs to hope CSU can build their stadium just so he can get out of the contract. That's not the kind of position you want to be in as an athletic director.

As was mentioned previously, the problem isn't so much Mike Bohn, but Phil DiStephano and Bruce Benson. Think about this for a second: Mike Bohn may be the only thing keeping those two morons from dropping athletics altogether. Do I really believe they'd do that? No. But I do believe that they would de-emphasize athletics even more than it has been if given the chance. The question of who would we replace him with, and who would be making that decision comes immediately to mind. I have nightmares when I think about DiStephano and Benson trying to find a qualified athletic director.

For better or worse, I think we're stuck with Mike Bohn for the foreseeable future. I think the alternative is downright frightening.

This cannot be emphasised enough. If we fire Bohn now, why would we think we would hire someone better?
