'18 CO OLB Adrian Jackson (Signed to Oregon)

Good luck to him. Never really had a chance of getting him, not that he was a major guy for us... I hope... Very underwhelming tape.

LOL... That's ridiculous. He was a MAJOR guy for CU in recruiting, a 4* beast that continues to improve and move up the rankings. Not being able to keep him in state stings and losing him to the Quacks and the former CU coaching staff there sucks!

I think if you look around, might be on TOS, many think he is a very underwhelming football player.

Another Mullen guy. Shocker!

If he had wanted to commit to CU i'm sure they wouldn't have hesitated to take him but I think calling him a 4* beast is overstating things a bit .

He was fairly clear from early on that he was looking to go out of state.

It also doesn't help that Mullen Head Coach Tom Thenell hasn't done much to hide the grudge he holds against CU. He was a very successful HS QB in Colorado and wanted to go to CU. CU gave him courtesy attention but in the end didn't take him. It didn't matter that not other major programs did either he was mad at CU.

He ended up at CSU where his anger at CU was fed and cultivated. Since then he has developed into a successful HS coach in Colorado at a couple different schools. He has tried to at times pretend like he is past the anger but CU has very little luck with his kids.

Sugarcoat it all you want, this one hurts. In state kid with lots of P5 offers. These are the kids we need to keep. We managed to keep Moretti last year, but this one is a loss.

Thought Jim Leavitt couldn't recruit

It's not his strong point. As you maybe could tell from his time here? Maybe the fact he couldn't flip any of CU's recruits from here? This commit has very little to do with Leavitt and a lot more to do with the HC at Mullen. Like in previous posts it has been pointed out what Mullen's coach feels toward CU. Would have loved to see Adrian Jackson at CU but that's not going to happen so good luck to him and let's move on.

Looks like Uncle Phil may be throwing a bunch of money around again.

He isn't worried about getting caught. He wants a championship before he dies and he knows that at the rate the NCAA moves he will be long gone before they do anything.

Are you making a claim that the players are being paid illegally to go to UO?

No, they're legally paid. In a strikingly creative mock-up of the "Junior Year Abroad" concept at some schools, Duck ballers are given Associate Manager positions in Nike's Thai sweatshops for the summer after their freshman year(s).

You don't think Phil is throwing money at Duck football? They are paying a DC more than he would make as a HC at a lot of G5 schools. Money isn't an object, he wants to win. How far he/they go with that is a legitimate question.

In a recruiting thread? Absolutely not.

Even in a regular thread, this line of posts would come off as bitter and petty.
