I was looking for a place to drop this tweet. Couldn't find one, so this thread can be the mirror to Buffaholic's 2018 Offense thread.
Lang redshirted.D. Taylor could have a major impact for the buffs at buff backer. Interested to see how Lang (2017 gray shirt) performs (I think USC offered) and praying to see this Oklahoma recruit live up to the hype. Biggest question mark for me is CB ability as well as LB/DL depth.
That is accurateI thought Lang was committed to USC for a bit, is that not accurate?
Ic thanx.That is accurate

How sure are we that he made it to campus?Did he ever make it to campus?

Idk man, I'd think Antwine will play quite a bit this year. Lang too, if he's even there lol.Really hope Lang and Antwine pan out, though that’s more 2019 thought.
Let's say it was a tough year for the D-Linemen last season and that they will rebound next season. If so, the Buffs should win more games in that case and perhaps maybe win the conference championship.

I think you can expect Mulumba and Tuiloma to be much better. Both got their first tastes of real football in 2017 and both improved a ton. I expect more learning, and a new voice to help. Edwards is an enigma. Would love to see Franke come in at 295.
Also - see no reason why Antwine and Lang are not both in the rotation. They should be big enough and they are talented enough. They shouldn't need more time IMO.
I feel like there is some depth there for 2018 if Umu makes it back.Depending on how 2019 recruiting goes, I actually expect the DL to be significantly better than this coming season.

DT: Malumba, Antwine/Umu (Hopefully)
NT: Edwards, Tuiloma
DT: Tuiloma, Franke, Lang
If Edwards can get his **** together, get in better shape and use his size/strength combo it would go a long way to cover up some of the deficiencies in the linebacker group and allow guys like Taylor and Lewis to really show their athleticism. If Edwards doesn't develop this offseason though it seems like a 4 man front could be the way to go with Malumba, Tuiloma, Franke and Sparaco though.
Lang and Antwine should be a lot better in 2019 than in 2018. Same with Johnson and Umu (assuming he's back). Throw in the DE types like Sparaco who could be DE size in 2 years. Roberts, maybe. I'm kind of thinking they should move him to OT since that's where I liked him coming out of HS.Depending on how 2019 recruiting goes, I actually expect the DL to be significantly better than this coming season.

Did Antwine enroll early? Thanks.Lang and Antwine should be a lot better in 2019 than in 2018. Same with Johnson and Umu (assuming he's back). I think you're right. But so much depends on whether Tui & Sami develop at NT.
