Well tickets can't be unsold. But yeah it could hurt their walkup crowd and students who merely have to claim a ticket and don't have to buy a sports pass which would count whether they go or not.

Just a reminder that guessing tickets sold is the only way to enter the contest, because that's the only number that's reported to the general public. CU makes it very hard to find out what the number of actual scans are. Having seen some past scan figures myself (after months of asking) I can understand why they keep it under wraps. Speculating on the number of scans is totally fine and this is the place to do it, but you can't win by guessing that.
