No, he made a difficult throw under pressure but the ball went where it had to go. Russell failed to make a catch that should have been made, the DB made a great play on the ball after he failed to secure it.


Yes, after Russell had both hands on the ball. That catch has to be made.

Montez makes enough bad plays to deserve criticism. Trying to blame this play on him is just flat wrong.

How about directing some anger at the failure to catch the ball, the failure to call a play that had a chance to provide him some protection, the penalties that put them into the position of needing to try to throw the ball into the end zone instead of having a run option.

When a ball is in a receivers hands he has to catch it. It was a tough throw, it wasn't a prayer.

If he had not thrown the ball or thrown it away you and the other Montez haters would be blaming him for not finding a receiver and only getting a FG try.

When you are down 14 on the road to a clearly superior team you have to take some chances. That TO is entirely on Russell.
