AP RANKED!

Dayton got a good bump after their loss to the Hawks in OT.

As Torero said 'they're 6-0.' We should enjoy that donut hole on the right while it lasts. Its likely they'll drop a game or two this season they shouldn't have so at least they've managed to avoid that so far.

I hate hate hate KU(DIE chickenhawk DIE!!!!!!!), and really don't want to see them lose to Dayton for family reasons, however those are the 2 non-con games left they can afford to lose.
If we win both, it would position us for the committee to completely ignore a bad loss if it happens. So let's just beat KU and Dayton. ;)

Watched Dayton twice and KU twice. That Dayton team is legit. We need Schwartz and seiwart or other to be filling it up from three.

I am wondering if Ryder will offer any legit minutes this season. Concern against KU's dominant center unless Dallas makes a big stride and rises to the occasion.

Except that Battey and Bey have both been dominant on interior D. They both give up inches for sure, and Battey is foul-prone, but we don't "need" Dallas to come back in for that purpose, those 2 can handle business

Uhh you cant really compare anything we’ve seen to Azubuike. Bey gives up 5 inches and 60 lbs. Battey gives up 4 inches and 20 lbs. It’s foolish to say we don’t need Dallas to provide some quality minutes.

Does Ben Mills have any eligibility left?
You joke but one could argue Ben had his best game against Kansas in 2013 haha. We could use something similar from Dallas. At the very least make him earn his points from the FT line. We can’t afford for Battey to get in foul trouble if we’re going to stand a chance.

Once Dallas rounds into form, that makes CU much closer to bulletproof on matchups and foul trouble. It just adds a lot of security and versatility to what our Buffs can do if we have an active 7 footer whose number Tad can call.

The other thing we need to happen is ball handling from someone besides Kin. We need to become matchup proof against a high intensity pressure team and foul-proof to get through a game when Kin maybe plays only 25 minutes.

Get those things handled and we won't have to care so much about what teams we draw in the post-season.

Totally agree. I have more confidence in Siewert than I did, but he'll still get run over by big dudes. I really just meant right now, those 2 are very trustworthy. Gas and fouls are what we'll need Dallas in for this weekend. Later in the season when he's back to 2 years ago strength, hell yeah.
And yes, I concur the PG duties behind kin are more critical at this point in the season.

There is no argument. Ben Mills best game as a Buff was going toe to toe with Joel Embiid and Perry Ellis.

well...I thought we would have climbed back in after last week, but looks like we're two spots out.

Still, as other threads have noted, CU is still looking great for brackets. Katz has us 19 in his power rankings fwiw. If we continue to do well, the national narrative about CU should be fair.

Pretty much everyone in front of us won. But we beat Dayton on, essentially, their home court yet they are still in the top 20. A little frustrating. Gotta beat Iona then take care of business at home to begin Pac 12 play.

I'd rather be out than in TBH. Any reason to keep the chip on the shoulders of our young men is a good thing. Way more concerned with getting seeded 3-6 on Selection Sunday than what the ****ing AP thinks of us.

I'm completely happy with being 26 after non-conference. The PAC did okay as well, with some quality wins. CU got one of two games against highly ranked opponents, we won away from home, and we don't have any embarrassing losses. While it's nice to have, **** the AP poll - do well in conference, rankings will come, but more importantly, a rightful, mid-high seeding will come. We just have to take care of business in conference...

Glad we aren't ranked. Build the fire with out team. Also, if we can take care of home and win the first 3, we will be easily Top-15.
