2023 Colorado Football Schedule & Future Schedules

Hmmmmm. Not a fan, but I suppose it would help make the AD more money at a time when funds will be in short supply.

I thought I remember that there was a provision in the contract for this game allowing it to be hosted at Mile High, or maybe that was an agreement with the Stadium Authority. Anyway, I much approve of this. I would not have been in favor of the nubs game there, which I remember was also a possibility. TAMU could easily sell 20 to 30 thousand seats for that game, we would take the other 40 to 50.

I think this is a good thing to do on so many levels-we probably get more grace from Aggie in terms of finding a Saturday in the future to make up the game we owe them by moving that game to Denver next year, and they get more people up here in all likelihood. Still have our 6 at Folsom so we're fine.

A&M likely would have told CU to **** off if CU still tried to make them come to Folsom next year

When I first saw this I didn't like it because I'm not a fan of moving college games to NFL stadiums but you're right that A&M likely wouldn't have agreed to play at CU on a 1-off instead of the home-and-home that this series originally was. Not only that, we likely would've ended up with a lesser G5 or FCS school as a replacement.

I guess there was already a provision in the game contract to move it to MHS, but yes, there’s no chance A&M is just going to come to Folsom and play when CU wasn’t able to go there.

I think the atmosphere of the game could be pretty fun. Of course I’d prefer the game to be at Folsom instead of Invesco, but A&M fans travel well and if CU can build some hype for the game, we should be able to get a good crowd too. A fully packed student section would be great. I’m sure A&M would bring their band and some students as well.

SIAP: CU’s schedule is daunting. This is going to be a bad, bad year I’m afraid.
  • 9/26 at Oregon
  • 10/3 vs Utah
  • 10/10 at Arizona
  • 10/17 at USC
  • 10/24 bye
  • 10/31 vs ASU
  • 11/6 at Washington
  • 11/14 vs UCLA
  • 11/21 at Stanford
  • 11/28 vs Oregon St.
  • 12/5 vs Washington St.
Yuck!

This piece of information surprised me a bit:

The Buffs have had more than six games at Folsom just twice in their history, with eight in 1978 and seven in 1982.

We are missing Cal, a mid-level Pac 12 team. Not missing a high or low. The schedule is fair, IMO.

How will we perform against that schedule? I will just let it play out.

I’m just wondering how well we’ll be prepared.

Said in another thread but in all likely good we start 0-4. Oregon on the road, Utah at home, Arizona on the road and then SC on the road. Best hope s 1-3. This is not a schedule to build on with 2022 recruiting.

2021 recruiting is bad. 2020 schedule will lead to a very bad record. 2022 recruiting follows along the course of 2021.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. But you were supposed to talk me into stepping back from it. Not talk me into jumping off.

I don't actually believe it's going to happen but I'd feel a lot better about this if it was reversed. Then we could get back to flirt with a bowl game early (4-0 start would be conceivable) then collapse lose every game the rest of the way.

At least we can comfortably say, “Colorado won’t win 5 games this year.”
