2023 Colorado Football Schedule & Future Schedules

A&M game moving to Denver was expected, but still disappointing.

I can live with it. We have six games at home and we should still be able to get a sizable amount of CU fans there. Also a good thing to do because who knows when/if we can make up the trip we were supposed to make down there this year?

Uhh, WTF RG? Moving the game to mile high, sure. Taking it out of the season ticket package? **** you dude.
With A&M only getting a certain percentage of ticket sales, this makes no sense. 70,000 plus seat stadium you should be able to get your season ticket holders in while still maintaining the stipulations with A&M. Doesn't make any sense

I do not think it has anything to do with space in the stadium. I think its a revenue generator. Sell season ticket packages for slightly more than the 2020 prices plus $80-$100 more for the aTm game. They are trying to make up for some of the 2020 losses.

It does if you think you can sell higher-priced tickets to rubes from Texas.

Makes sense, but wouldn't this be the same as the Nebraska game a few years ago when season ticket holders paid more for that game than normal? Or maybe that was just for the second set of tickets season ticket holders were able to get?

It’s all about revenue. Season ticket holders had their tickets carry over to next season. So CU must see this as a way of forcing season ticket holders to pay for one game next season. Bull****.

I'm annoyed about the A&M game not being part of the season ticket package. I don't know that we will pay to go see the game in Mile High (which we don't really enjoy - my husband was so happy when the Rocky Mountain Showdown ended, for several reasons) surrounded by Aggie fans.

Ohh. Didn’t know it wasn’t part of the season ticket package. Well, either way I will buy tix. Can’t blame them for trying to make money

Yea this sucks but wasn't it more or less a given in order to keep the game with A&M since they lost their home game in the series? Otherwise wouldn't A&M have been able to get out of this game if they wanted to?

So CU still controls like 75% of the tickets? How are they going to separate CU and a&m fans?

College football belongs on college campuses. It is what makes college football great and differentiates it from the NFL. Any move to neutral sites or NFL stadiums diminishes the games in my opinion.

One of the reasons bowl games have become less popular is that games like this are being played at other times. I'd be fine with playing Texas a&m at Mile high stadium for a bowl game but a regular season game belongs either in college station or in Boulder.

Howell mentioned that there was a clause in the contract that if something happened and the 2020 game got cancelled, either team could void the 2021 game. It seems like this was probably one of the only ways to keep this 2021 game. Regardless of our thoughts on games being played in Denver, this was absolutely the right move on just about every level.

Blow me RG. Please shoot for PAC-12 commish job, at least then you won't **** us on contract negotiations

Edit: Well you could but if it ****s us, it ****s the rest of the conference too so

Yeah, same. I'm not a season ticket holder so I've held off on commenting, but I really don't see the issue here.
1. Schedule big time home game.
2. Take home game away from home.
3. Make extra money off season ticket holders while reducing the value of their tickets.
4. Profit short term.
5. Non-season ticket holders rejoice and pretend to be unable to understand why this annoys season ticket holders.

Wouldn't your season ticket package cost more if the game was at Folsom and included in the package, though?

Maybe? But season ticket holders get discounts on game prices since they are buying a package of games, so they lose that discount. They also lose their preferred and comfortable seats.

Also, the obvious. 6. Folsom >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EMPOWER

Meh, I feel like the writing was on the wall about this game moving to Denver pretty much from the moment it was scheduled.

7 games should cost more than 6.

If they didn’t unbundle this game and forced season ticket holders to buy it with their package, people would be bitching about that too.

The game literally would not be taking place if it was not moved to Mile High. Howell confirmed this.

While it sucks for season ticket holders, at least its taking place. I'm also sure RG didn't fight this much, but A&M held all the cards here.
