2020 CU football season POSTPONED until Nov 6th?

Teams are still able to practice and workout though right? All that matters is getting in the necessary training, lifting and practices. It does sound strange that they would word it “before January 1st”

I believe so, except for the Bay area teams which are working on trying to get an exception

Could we schedule a game with CSU before pac 12 play begins? Assuming they’d agree. I wouldn’t mind a kickoff game the 24th with CSU

6+1 according to DP. Not sure how the Bay Area teams are going to make it work if they don’t get approval to practice and train soon, though.

Kind of goes back to the question I've been asking all week-what exactly have the ADs at Stanford and Cal been up to since the announcement of the Quidel deal?

If the Bay Area schools and UCLA can't get it together, they don't need to take part in this season. Enough holding up the people who have been ready to ****ing kow-tow to those who aren't.

Really wish the B1G and Pac 12 would work out a cross conference “postseason” during that CCG weekend for the non CCG teams. Also, a 6+1 for the Pac 12 essentially means no CFP consideration.

This year or in normal seasons? Because the B1G is doing that this year within their conference. If you're talking about normal seasons then the NCAA would have to approve a 13th game. I like the idea though

I don’t think CU has that opinion though. We haven’t been skipping workouts and walkthroughs
Dorrell said it. Maybe he walked it back and I missed it. Or maybe he said it before the 12 hour rule.

I don’t blame those schools who want it. I get it.

Edit: in May, he said 8 ideal, 6 manageable. Maybe he thinks differently.

I think 6 weeks is pretty much the minimum, no? It’s what the B1G is essentially doing, although most programs kept working out.

I get the impression that he wants a fall season however he can get it from his twitter at this point.

If they aren’t going to put the conference in contention for the CFP, what’s the point in limiting the schedule to 6+1? Why not keep going a few more weeks and do 8+1 or even 9+1?

I guess so they can take part in the bowls. Plus there's an outside shot they could be in the CFP depending on how many cancellations other conferences have and how many undefeated teams there are.

Yeah this is totally different than May unfortunately, have to roll with the punches

Bowls, I guess.

If we didn't play at all, at least we could say that we stuck by our principles. Playing 6 games says we're a follower conference that can't get our **** together.
