Official 2020 Fall Camp Thread

I don't believe Montez is more physically gifted than Lytle at all. I think Lytle will surprise everyone once he starts to play. I can almost guarantee Lytle is a smarter QB and has all the physical attributes needed to excel in the PAC.
Montez is a physically stronger guy, a much stouter build, and Montez has a cannon for an arm. Doesn't say were the ball will end up or if it was a smart throw but he can throw it harder and further.

I do think that Lytle is more that adequate in those areas. He's certainly not sub P5 in those aspects but he is not what Montez was. Question is can he use his abilities better and I think we will see he can.

Would have been nice though if he had gotten some real playing time before this year so we had something to base that on.

Why do I keep seeing people talk about redshirting incoming freshmen? Am I missing something here? Isn’t 2020 basically a freebie? It’s not counting against any eligibility, so the only reason somebody would “redshirt” would be because he simply isn’t good enough to get playing time.

I’ve been told Lewis should redshirt this year.
I've asked the question to several people and nobody has been able to give an answer. Does this year count as a year of eligibility? If a senior like Landman plays can he come back next year? If a true freshman like Lewis plays is he a freshman again next year?

Honestly, if you look at our past 15 seasons, there were a bunch of seasons we really should have gone to a bowl.
Definitely. I just think last season was the first one where I don’t recall any lucky wins to balance out the unfortunate losses. They lost two bad ones to AFA and Arizona and got blown out everywhere else.
