Other Games 12/10-12/12

Not a great advertisement for Sumlin job security so far. Think they shot their nut in the 1st quarter last week and are demoralized at this point. Also, don't discount the fact that after a team runs on you like CU did you are not physically the same the next week.

Is Zona even trying?
For their fans I'm sure they are very trying.

As Duff alludes to above this is a rivalry that is much more intense than many outside of Arizona understand. The alums from both schools take it very seriously and how much fun Monday morning is at work is going to depend a lot of which side of the game many people are.

Yeah, I think Duff is right, I don't know how Sumlin survives this. 0 fer on the season and getting mudpuddled by ASU.

Yep, one of the CFB podcasts I listen to refers to it as post-body blow game, can't remember if its the Solid Verbal or Mandel and Feldman's podcast.

Dorrell inspired a return of extreme sunshine pumping Buffnik. The guy really does deserve coach of the year!

Now their fans get to go through the off-season not only having gone 0-5 but getting blasted by their "rival" by 63. Imagine being the Nebraska fan in the office working with a bunch of Buffs fans after losing the CU game by 63, or working in an office in Michigan with fans of both schools after one completed the others terrible season with a 63 point thrashing.

It isn't like your school losing to some random opponent, this one will stay alive until at least when they play again next year.

Even without COVID-19, there would probably be a fair amount of social distancing going on at workplaces throughout Arizona Monday!

Nik is onto something-they folded awful quickly last week after we started stampeding all over their front 7.

So female Vandy kicker Sarah Fuller scored a point today with her XP. She did not however, get to attempt their 39 yard field goal (doesn’t have the leg?). Great for her to make history, but why is Vandy interested in this publicity stunt?

Yeah, you basically said it with your last part. All it is. Looks to me they are trying to bring some positivity to 2020 and their awful program.

I don’t have a problem with it, but I just don’t really get it. They supposedly have a scholarship kicker who is probably sitting there wishing he could handle kickoffs and XPs

A good compass for how to live life is not to follow Rick Neuheisels ideas.

Yup, not much more than a charade to have her kick an XP when their regular kicker made a 39 yarder and also missed wide on a 53-yarder that was long enough just wide. Just say it for what it is, a feel good story on a team that is on the verge of going winless but nothing more than that and not some heroic feat. Also, if this was a team in contention for a conference championship no way would she be out there kicking in a competitive game.

BTW - at the 20 second mark, you can see the forward pass that negated the play and ultimately won the game for Ball State.

#15 just got an offensive player discount.

If a defensive player hit a ballplayer like he hit the dude who made that interception, he'd be watching the rest of the game from the sidelines.

Does anyone else feel like punching Neuheisal Jr. whenever he appears on camera?

I don't believe in conspiracy theories as much as I just think Pac-12 refs suck, but if you subscribe to the theory that Utah's "perfect game" had something to do with the fact that CU losing saved the conference a lot of trouble, you might also expect fUCLA to get jobbed tonight.
